The dolls resemble real people, with any part of the body highly simulated, embedded with a metal skeleton, with bendable joints and the ability to pose in various positions. There is a wide variety of doll shapes, with height, weight, skin colour, facial features, even hair and eye colour, tattoos, nails and other features that can be customised, and the interior of the body can be heated, and the doll can be customised with a sound card that allows it to speak simple languages.<o:p></o:p>

The regular models of the physical dolls are priced between RMB 2,000-10,000, and there are also high-end customised ones, where the factory can open up a mould to make an identical full-size sex doll as long as the customer takes a photo and lists the requirements.<o:p></o:p>

The factory has also developed an intelligent doll with a head and limbs that can move and respond to customers in English and Chinese, similar to an intelligent robot, but it is expensive, with the cheapest costing 50,000 RMB. However, compared to the dolls in Europe and the US, the dolls made in China are much cheaper.<o:p></o:p>

Walking through the factory, I walk to the office area and open my computer to check my emails. The first thing I do every day is respond to all sorts of odd questions from new customers: "Will I get stuck", "How many degrees can the doll be heated to", "What is the maximum size of the doll's breasts when it is standing up" It was laughable.<o:p></o:p>

I opened his profile and saw that he was registered as Andy, aged 20, and his profession was listed as an actor. There was only one picture on the page, long hair, thin and with a gloomy face. I may be face blind, but he looks like a portrait of Jesus.<o:p></o:p>
